How AG Pix Place Started

Hi!-  I was crusing around on the internet one day and found Liz's site- http://www.americangirlfan.com/.  That gave me the idea to start a website of my own one day.  I had no idea it would be so soon after seeing hers in the fall of 2008.

So I was over at a friends house and we decided that we could make a site together.  I had made a site on Weebly.com, and so I suggested that.  Later that weekend (MLK day weekend in 2009) I started working on my web page.

I went through 4 different backgrounds with in a few weeks.  I had a blue background (shown in a Show and Tell Wednesday), and a red background (I thought that would go with American Girl's color) but those 2 had the pages across the top, I wanted my pages down the site.  I tried a brown one but soon I found the one that I had for a long time which was brown.  Then I had a green one and I kept the green one for a long time but I think I like the white one the best.

In February, I got the suggestion to make a blog at Blogger.com.  I had a Gmail account and I made the blog.  I then made an email account for the American Girl Pix Place website (agpixplace@gmail.com).  I didn't yet have that email so I used my personal one.  I since have made the agpixplace@gmail.com email address so that girls can contact me in a better way than my Guestbook, and the Contact form. :)

I also have gotten a lot better at web design, taking photos and making entertaining stories about my dolls.  I hope that you all feel that I have "grown" in this as well.  You can still access my posts and photos from the years 2009 and 2010 by clicking here (and then hovering over the page title on the left to see the Posts: 2009, Photos: 2009, Posts: 2009 and Photos: 2010.)  You can also access this year's Posts AND photos (combined page) by going to http://www.agpixplace.net/.  I am trying to see if I get more comments on individual pages by not having my "intro home page."  I didn't delete it, I just have it "NOT shown in navigation."  This way I can put it back if I want to. :)

Have fun crusing around, and if you have questions email them to agpixplace@gmail.com, or leave a comment on my most recent posts. :)
