McKenna books

A new updated Holiday Blog

Ok... after a failed attempt to actually publish this...:

I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season! I have taken the time today to update the Blog's background to match winter. I forgot to do this for the fall, and haven't done it since Spring 2011. I am going to try to do all four seasons in 2012 but no promises. :0) Everything has been terrific here; and I think we all got what we could have asked for. I got Cecile, some clothes Argos (Marie-Grace's dog) who I will rename Bud. You see; a person I know has a dog named Bud who is a Bouvier, so since I don't have Marie Grace, Argos is now named Bud! My dolls now have a new sister. I truly have no idea, how many dolls I have now but I believe it is approx. 22. I also have a few non-AG dolls, so we are close to 35 which isn't bad at all for a collector... guess you know what is coming!! :0)

I also got an Amazon Kindle. I have read 3 Nancy Drew books on it so far, and just purchased a fourth book for it. I need to upload it to my Kindle. I don't have WiFi so I have to download the books to my computer before uploading them to the Kindle!


I am going to end this post since I keep deleting half of what I type by accident.

Another Fantastic Week

Hey Everyone,

This has been another fantastic week- and I do believe I will be able to post a Guess that Picture on Sunday. Next weekend however, it will be difficult for me to post as it will be Christmas on Sunday. What an exciting time of year! I am planning so many great posts for after the holidays, and will try to keep you up to date with everything that will be happening... believe me, it will be a busy break. I should be able to post a photo or two of Cecile not too long after Christmas day; and more photos will come as we progress through the year!

My dolls are planning a few posts as well during this Christmas break. We will be sure to share these with you throughout the winter months. We are so excited. I know they are just as excited (if not more excited) than I am for their newest sister, and friend. Cecile will be my LAST American Girl Doll... as of right now. I must admit though that I have said this about 10 times in the last 2-3 years. :0) American Girl keeps coming out with great dolls that I relate to so much. Hopefully Girl of 2012 (who I hear is named McKenna) will have nothing to do with me, and I won't feel obligated to purchase her!

If you get the chance- check out the Buckles' Family page and congratulate them on their newest addition Peyton Grace born on December 6th at approx. 8:30. CONGRATS! I can't wait to see photos; and will be sure to post a link here when Melissa finds the time to post some. :0) The girls are so adorable and I KNOW Peyton is now and will be a pretty lady too!

The countdown to Christmas begins!

Hey Everyone,

I thought I would post a quick update here to let you know that everyone is well, and the countdown to Christmas has officially begun! I can't wait to get Cecile this Christmas and I know my dolls are just as excited. I picked out which Cecile I wanted at American Girl Place in Chicago, she is just in her box until Christmas. I will post some photos when I do get her.

I am planning on posting a Guess that Picture today. It'll be my first, and I am so excited. I have to edit the photo I would like to use, and blow it up really really big. As long as I can figure out how to do that, we should be in great shape... otherwise that will come later, and another ordinary sized photo will appear today on my other page.

Now about the Give Away that I had about 2 months ago... I still have not heard anything from Morgan, our winner. I will draw a new winner today, and post the new winner tomorrow. My new Give Away policy for ALL Give Aways: If you win, you MUST email me an address no later than 2 weeks after I email you to let you know you won.

So... since I said the Countdown to Christmas has officially begun here... let's say how many more days! There are only 14 more days after today, and not including Christmas day! So really 15! Show and Tell Wednesday Week 44!

Hey Everyone,

I am so glad to be posting a Show and Tell Wednesday!  Honestly- I almost forgot about it!  I think this is week 44 but I am not going to go check.  It might be week 45, because I think I might have postd Week 43 twice... Anyway, it's around week 44!

As you know last weekend I had a friend over and we took many pictures of my dolls.  Here are the 2 photos I posted before they were edited.  This is really truly what the photos looked like before I edited them.

We're Back LIVE with PHOTOS!

Hello Everyone,

I am so excited to be able to say I am back with some great videos and photos!!!  I am sorry about the long time between posts here but I am happy to say that has come to a stop- atleast for the moment!!  So sit back and relax with your popcorn as I explain what I've been up to!!

Recently my family and I went to Chicago!  It was a great time for all; and I even got Cecile!  I got to pick out which Cecile I wanted but she is still a Christmas present and I must wait until Christmas to open her!  I can't wait.  I also got 3 new outfits, a sweater, and Marie Grace's bouvier!  My favorite teacher has a bouvier and I knew I HAD to get that dog when I saw him in the catalog.  I might just have to change his name to Bud!

Here are some great photos from the trip!  As I got bored along the 5 hour car ride, here are some things I did to entertain myself!!  These pictures were taken in the car after I fixed her hair.  ... so check the other page to see some from AG Place, the aquarium, and more!

Some new photos...

Hey Everyone,

I just posted some new photos on my other page! Here is a summary though (with the photos!).

Loran and Jabrai are in their fall clothes now! Here they are! Loran's outfit actually came from Toys "R" Us. It's size 0-3 months, but the pants are lose (I'll fix that) and the shirt is really loose, so we just safety pinned it in the back for now. Jabrai's shirt came from Build a Bear.

Also, my family and I are hoping to go to Chicago later this year! The problem?- I don't know who to bring! I have narrowed it down to Jade-Lynne or Marisol, and I have picked out the outfit. Below are 2 pictures, one of each doll in the outfit they would wear to Chicago and AG Place! Let me know who you think looks better in the outfit! I'll take comments until Thursday night.

October?

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for my lack of posting... as you can tell, I have been posting on my other page (amazing... I know). I will be making another post there this weekend. I have been trying to post at some point during the week, but I have been posting there every weekend this school year (usually on Sunday).

I would like to say, I have drawn the winner for my Give Away, and the winner is MORGAN! I have emailed you, (last week). I have not heard a response yet, but I will give her time before I go draw a new winner!

I am planning on doing a Show and Tell Wednesday this week here, so keep your eyes open! Things have been very busy lately between the dolls and myself. I have been at school every day (obviously) and when I come home, I do my homework and just lounge around... I must say, I do look at others' blogs every day, but just neglect to edit my own! Plan on seeing a post on the Dolls' blog page soon as they have some exciting news to share!

I recently got a new outfit from American Girl. I am planning on posting some photos this weekend. I am going to American Girl Place (in Chicago) soon. I am NOT going to give ANY details, but I will definitely post photos when I get back! I am only PLANNING on getting a few things, but if you REALLY truly know me, you know that won't be the case. ;0)

I PROMISE to give a full update soon. I will even try to post some photos here this weekend!

All Ready for Fall!

Hey Everyone,

Last weekend I finished changing my dolls into their autumn clothing. I think they all look wonderful. I will be sure to post pictures soon on here and my other page. Let me know what you think.

What are your dolls doing this fall? My dolls are dreaming about getting to meet Cecile, the new American Girl Doll. I can tell they are hopeful I will get her for Christmas. I guess they will be happy to find out I am getting her for Christmas this year!!

Back to School

Hi Everyone,

I have so many things to tell you right now! Unfortunately; I have been mainly posting on my other page; so... The top thing I need to tell you is that I am having a Give Away that goes until October 1st. Enter at www.agpixplace.net.

Among other things, here are some of the top things (besides the Give Away).

1. School Starts tomorrow. This means I cannot guarentee I will be posting more than once a week! If I do; then in my weekend posts I will say; "I also posted on Thursday".

Show and Tell Wednesday Week 42

Hey Everyone,
I know I am not keeping up with Show and Tell Wednesday, but here's one:

As many of you know, my dolls made jewelery on Monday at camp. :) I am so happy I was able to get "The Dolls' Space" off the ground!

I want to share with all of you, some of the tricks I used to make that! Here is a video that I have put together for you to be able to see how I made the jewelery work a little easier! I put together this video today, and I apologize that it wasn't posted until so late. :) It is really hard to make the loop closure without making the wire break off... which gets really frustrating. :( This will be also posted on YouTube. But it is really hard for me to post YouTube videos here with the dimensions right so it will fit on the Blog properly. :)

The Dolls' Space is Live. :)

Earlier today, my doll Kanani made her first post about arriving at camp on "The Dolls' Space". You should check it out. It is amazing for a brand new blogger. :) I am sure the dolls appreciate any comments that you would leave them over there too. :) They also have a twitter! So be sure to check that out too. :)

They don't have an email yet, but you can email agpixplace@gmail.com and include "For the dolls", or "For _____" (a dolls' name) in the subject, and I will be sure to let them see it. :)

PS: Last night, I was able to find my first tweet!- or as far down as Twitter would let me go... it was on 4. Apr. 2009! I can't believe I have had my Twitter for so long. :) I will post a photo of it (that I snipped) on Twitpic later today. :) I also snipped the dolls' first tweet so I won't have to go through that battle again! haha. :) IT took over 25 minutes, no joke. :)

New Photos... Hopefully soon!

Hey Everyone,

Hopefully I can post some new photos on my webpage, and here very soon. I have to get some photos off of my camera because it is almost the end of June!

My list to do for this webpage is very big, and hopefully I can do everything I want to before the summer is over. For the next couple of weeks, I will be posting photos of my Karito Kid dolls. I got Lulu very recently as a gift and can't wait to post some photos.

June?- Show and Tell Wednesday Week 42

Hey Everyone,

I haven't posted here recently, but I just posted on my other page last night... and hopefully will finish the post tonight (Part II). Today I am going to show you a few photos of my Mom's doll Zoarzoar. :) Zoarzoar is an eBay rescue, and my mom had to do things like add paint to Zoarzoar's face, and fix her hair. Zoarzoar was the name of the seller, and I think Zoarzoar looks like Molly... the hair even looks like it was in braids, and the owner (maybe not "Zoarzoar, maybe the daughter), just cut the braids. Poor Zoarzoar. :)

Show and Tell Week 41!

Hey Everyone,

(I don't think I did this one yet... I have to go to bed, because it is late, and I didn't have time to look!)

It is so hot outside (it was 87 degrees according to The Weather Channel around 4). UGH! Where did spring go? I am hoping to get some photos soon of the outdoors and my dolls (it just stopped raining... but it is suppose to rain again- there is a chance of rain all this week but it didn't rain today!)...



Here is a photo of my dolls in front of their newly designed bedroom (just posterboard)! I don't really use this much anymore, but I think it is very handy for when I do use it..., it can make something look so different!

Show and Tell Wednesday Week 40!

Hi Everyone,

It is week 40 of Show and Tell Wednesday! Wow. :) (my science teacher would say "wowsa" but I might just stick to wow! lol) This week I am going to post a photo of my bookshelf back in 2008. You can see my dolls Loran, Rachel and Julie, and a bookshelf on a pink wall. That is the same bookshelf that I have all of my dolls on today. At first I only needed the middle row, and then I only needed (I think) the top 2 rows as doll shelves. Then I needed the whole bookcase and I needed a new one for books.

Show and Tell Wednesday Week 39?

Hi Everyone,

I think this is week 39 of S&TW... I want to squeeze this in before the next line of storms come through... I should be able to post more later...

Look how big of a difference the flash can make... I thought I had it on, but really I had it off... that is why so many of the photos looked so bright and that is why I had to be careful with how I held the camera (because otherwise they were really blurry)... I should be able to post more later, but I think we should shut this down soon incase more comes... my mom is watching the weather. :)

New Girl Doll Talk Episode!

Hi Everyone, American Girl Doll Talk (www.americangirldolltalk.com) has published a new episode. The guest speaker is LISA YEE!!!!!! I'm so excited. I really like the "Aloha Kanani", and the "Good Job Kanani" books as well as the "Good Luck Ivy" book. I saw on her webpage that my favorite actress (Julie Andrews) got to hold Peeps (it is the first picture on the "Peeps and famous authors" page)! So be sure to check it out. I know you can get the podcast on iTunes. It is free too. The part with Lisa Yee is about 10:30 minutes long. Also- the podcast is kind of the lengthy (~ 25 minutes), but it is really cool- especially since Britts is from Australia and I have been there! Ok- I need to go and finish changing the dolls hair and clothes so I can take the photos for the Fashion Show!

March!

Hey Everyone, Has it really been a month since I last posted? I posted once or twice on my other web-page, but I have been really busy, and haven't had much time to post. I will try to create a photo story soon and post it. Thankfully summer is almost here, and when we go on vacation I should be able to get a lot of photos, like I did last summer! Show and Tell Wednesday Week 37!

Hi Everyone,
I can't believe that I remembered it was S&TW! This is my 37th week doing it (off and on). We are almost to 40. :) If you forgot what it is click here. I hope to remember it every week from now on... :)


Here is a photo from pretty long ago that I thought I would share:





They are doll sized! The first is Chrissa's craft table with some little buckets that I think we bought at Hobby Lobby in 2009; and the second is a photo of 2 doll sized cakes I made. I just made them with little styrofome things; and then we covered them with the play do type stuff you can get at like Walmart. It is the stuff Craft sells; that dries up if you leave it out in the open...

Well I hope you enjoyed it. Again; I really do hope to start doing it weekly again,

Valentines Day; delayed!

Hi everyone,

I have had a really busy week, so I am not able to to post the photo story... I am still taking pictures. (sorry!). I hopefully will have it done soon. :) I also forgot it was Wednesday so, I didn't get up a S&TW. Maybe I will next week.

Photo Story- This weekend?

Hi Everyone,

My goal is the photo story I have been writing photographed and posted this weekend... :) We did end up having 2 snow days due to ice! Maybe I should call them ice days! I practiced my music, a lot, and was online, but didn't really take the photos... I am just trying to decide how to take the photos since I don't really do it that often!

I should have it posted soon. Today was Chinese New Year- our house isn't spotless, I guess we will throw out the luck when we clean this year. Oh well!

A new Photo Story/ S&TW... :)

Hi Everyone,

New Photo Story
I have some good news... I am currently working on a photo story...!!! IT is about Valentines Day... :) I am hoping to do some of the behind the scenes as a Show and Tell Wednesday this week even though the Photo Story wouldn't be quite done! Now- wouldn't that be nice to get back in the swing of things? We have been throwing things together here and there, but haven't done anything big since November! (especially a S&TW!). For those of you who forgot what it is click here. I hope you enjoy this weeks Show and Tell Wednesday.

Snow Day
I am hoping that we have a snow day either tomorrow or Wednesday. We are about to get an ice storm, and tomorrow it is suppose to be ice in Dayton and rain in Cincinnati. We are right at the border where we get what either Cincinnati or Dayton gets... so I don't know... I am hoping for a snow day though one of the 2 days because I would LOVE to be able to finish the Photo Story on Tuesday or Wednesday and get it posted. Then maybe I could do another one over the weekend.

Snow photo

Here is the snow photo. :) I am hoping to do a video over the next week about my new closet organization... I meant to do it right away but I kind of forgot about it. You can see the video when we were "in the process" of fixing the closet by clicking here... :) It may be a little while though because I have video on my Camcorder that has to be uploaded to the computer. My camcorder has software that is no longer on the computer since everything had to be reloaded when our computer had the virus (the software hasn't been reloaded yet!)

The Back burner...

I know I am not doing nearly as much as I usually do on this blog this year. :( I honestly, think this blog is on the back burner for me. I am going to take a photo of the snow we had and post it here for you. We only got about 6 inches but that is enough for 2 snowdays in a row here. :)

I am going to try to be REALLY good about getting my homework done so that I have more time for blogging etc. Usually my homework takes about 2 hours, but I learned (for about the 3rd time!) that if I just do it without complaning or stalling, I have more free time after my homework. I think more free time at once is better than little bits of it here and there. So I am going to try to create a photo story for you all this week, and have it live by next weekend. Then maybe a video. :)

2 Year Anniversary update...

I know that my 2 year anniversary (really 2 years?) is right around the corner for my other webpage. So... I am going to try to upload some photos here to celebrate (uploading them there takes longer). This photo was taken the 1st day I was doing the webpage. As you know I no longer have that background since the pages were across the top... and I really need down the side :)

PS: due to a math midterm on Monday in the morning (a midterm is covering EVERYTHING that you do from the beginning to the middle so thsi covers from August until January), I will not be posting any photos. My goal is to post some photos from my first 2 years here though through out the week so look back :)

Hawaii, and new pix!

We just came back from Hawaii yesterday incase you didn't read my twitter post- that's why things have been so vague.

Also- I posted some new photos on my webpage: www.agpixplace.net/photos-2011.html. I have decided to try to avoid doing posts (typed posts) on that page, but if I need to I will add a Posts 2011 page :) The photos include Kanani on the Local Hawaiian news (KHNL), and photos from Waipio Valley, and Volcanoes National Park. I have one of the Presidents plane in Hilo (we think the plane he wasn't in since he was on Oahu) but that is a photo and story for another time :)

I have to go study for my tests, and eat. We had a snowday I was suppose to take them since I was leaving for Hawaii, so I had to wait until we got back... unfortunately I will have to "relearn" the material. I remembered math and really just reviewed, but science... I don't know about :)

PS: I will try to start up Show and Tell Wednesday again this week... but I don't know if I can since I have an Algebra midterm next Monday (Jan 10), and will be reviewing for that. Any idea what week I was on?

Happy 2011!

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to 2011... 2010 went by so quickly and I can't believe that it is 2011 already... I hope there are some Youtube videos of the ball drop because I missed it last night... :(

I will try to post my winter break photos soon. I have so much to post and write about, but right now, I have to start getting ready for school again. I know... still 2 days but.... There is also laundry so I have clean clothes on Monday. :) I ill try to post some photos tomorrow or this upcoming week though, along with a "real" update on my other page. The photos will probably be in photo album form again though.

PS: Look at American Girl's webpage, for the Kanani stuff. She is Hawaiian and since I have been there myself, I think I will have to get her... :)
